These are some frequently asked questions and answers.

Who do we cater for at The St Annes Hotel?

Everyone! Our hotel has been designed and equipped to be fully accessible and we have high tech equipment installed to ensure this. Our rooms on the 4th floor can only be reached via the stairs.

We would prefer guests to be accompanied by their family friends or carers. Guests wishing to travel alone can be accommodated if over 18 and able to care for themselves.

We welcome any age group, but bear in mind that if you are traveling alone you must be over 18.

What time should I arrive and depart for my holiday?

Our rooms are available at 3pm and guests are asked to vacate before noon on the day of your departure. Don't worry if you are planning to arrive before 3pm. We can store your luggage and you can relax in the hotel. We will let you know as soon as your room is available. If you would like, we can also give you a guided tour of the hotel.

Should I bring my own wheelchair?

Yes, please bring your own wheelchair. The hotel does have some wheelchairs however as we have limited stock of these we cannot guarantee they will be available at the time of your stay.

May I bring a pet?

Only guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are allowed. If you intend to bring a guide or assistance dog please advise us at time of booking.

Transportation

The hotel is able to offer a pick up and drop off service from your home in our adapted mini bus, for which an additional cost will be applicable.

What fees would I expect to pay?

All fees shown are for guests in a single, twin or double room and are per person per night. Suite prices are per suite per night. Single occupancy rooms carry a supplement of 50% each night.

As the hotel is open all year round we can arrange block bookings of specific rooms throughout the year. We offer substantial discounts for this, together with discounted rates for group reservations. We cater for all your holiday requirements whether they are full week stays, weekend stays or short breaks. We require a non refundable deposit of £100.00 per person, per break (Terms and Conditions apply).

Additional Information

Our door sizes for every bedroom are between 850mm and 920mm wide. All of our bedrooms have a wheelchair turning circle of at least 1500mm.Our bathrooms are 2.5m by 2.5m with a full wheelchair turning circle.

At the hotel we have an 8 person passenger lift. The lift cart dimensions are 1400mm deep and 1100mm wide. The doors are 800mm wide. There is also a mirror to the rear of the lift car to assist wheelchair users.

There is a 'spending area' at the rear of the hotel for all assistance dogs use.

Your enjoyment and safety is our priority

Whatever your ability or your special needs might be, the hotel has been equipped with modern communications and assistance equipment to ensure your comfort and safety.

Fire Alarm System A state of the art fire detection and alarm system is installed throughout the property, taking provision of DDA guidance with regard to the hard of hearing. Visual indicators supplement the usual electronic alarm sounders throughout the common areas. Defined bedrooms are additionally provided with visual indicators and vibrating pillow pads. The design and installation of this system fully complies with the special requirements of the fire service and building control department of the local authority.

Staff call system All rooms are provided with a staff assistance call facility both at the bedside and within bath and toilet areas. The system is also installed throughout the common areas of the property and special facilities areas. The Duty Manager is provided with a pager allowing instant recognition of an assistance call.

Hearing assistance induction loops Hearing assistance induction loops are installed at key points throughout the property to allow the hard of hearing to select the 'T' setting on hearing aids. Defined rooms have a domestic induction loop facility to allow the use of the television and radio via the loop.
